Thanks to my daughter and best model, Stephanie Casstevens, who has smiled for Kathy (AKA MOMMY) every day of her life. I've taken thousands of photos of her over the years and her natural smile lights up a room. The first photo I'd like to post here is one of my all-time favorites of her. Many photos were taken on this day. I'll never forget her beauty and her natural ability to become a bride, even though she wasn't. We needed photos to promote our new wedding venue and she kindly volunteered. This involved hair, make-up, flowers and a groom! She had never met her "groom" before this day. So thanks to Francesco, too! The photos were beyond what I imagined they could be and I'll always remember what we called "Romance at the Rock."

Smile for Kathy is a blog that came about because, as a photographer, I'm always asking people in front of my camera to SMILE! When someone asks this of me, I find it is quite difficult. I've had my photo taken more lately than in the recent past, so I've become increasing aware and sympathetic to all of my subjects.
